Round-based Black Ops 2 zombies for up to eight players on the free Plutonium client. Our custom mod adds an in-game shop, a persistent points bank, point gifting, quick-buy power-ups, and an in-game map vote across all five stock maps. The server is open, so no password is needed to join.

What you get

More than vanilla zombies

Stock Black Ops 2 zombies with the extras we wrote ourselves on top: a full in-game shop, a points bank that saves per player, point gifting, quick-buy power-ups, and an in-game !commands list.

In-Game Shop

Type !shop and every weapon the map offers is for sale, box guns and wall weapons alike, priced from strongest to weakest. Buy perks, quick-buy power-ups, or Pack-a-Punch your held gun. On Origins you can even buy and upgrade the elemental staffs. You never have to gamble on the box for the gun you actually wanted.

Points Bank

Bank what you're not spending with !deposit, then take it back out with !withdraw. Your balance saves per player, so it's still there when you come back for your next run.

Gift Your Squad

Use !gift to send points to whoever is having a rough game. In an eight player lobby somebody always needs a hand.

Quick-Buy Power-Ups

Grab Max Ammo, Insta-Kill, Double Points, a Nuke, Fire Sale, or Carpenter on demand with a single chat command when you need it most.

Auto-Translate

Type in your own language

Co-op zombies goes badly when the lobby can't talk to each other, and Plutonium pulls players in from everywhere. So chat on this server translates itself. Somebody calls out in Spanish, you read it in English, and neither of you did a thing. Nothing off the shelf does this for Black Ops 2, so we built it ourselves. It all happens on the server, so your game stays stock.

Nothing to install

Join and talk. Your message goes out as you typed it and the translation arrives a second later for the players who need it.

It picks up your language

You never have to set it. A couple of lines is enough, and it covers around twenty languages, Spanish and Polish and Russian among them.

It knows the game

Jug stays Jug. Pack-a-Punch, Monkey Bombs, downs and crawlers all come through as themselves instead of being translated into nonsense.

Maps and voting

The lobby votes on the next map

Nothing is locked to a single map. Anyone can call a vote with !mapvote, and if the lobby is up for it everyone picks the next one, so the rotation is whatever the players want that night.

All five stock maps

Buried, Die Rise, Mob of the Dead, Origins, and TranZit are all in the rotation, the full Black Ops 2 zombies lineup.

In-game map vote

Type !mapvote to start a vote. Once the lobby agrees, a numbered menu pops up on screen and everyone picks the next map. The most-voted map wins.

Live round tracking

A zombies-left counter sits at the top of your screen, and your best round, kills, and more land on the Black Ops 2 leaderboard.

Stability

The crashes we chased down

We wrote the mod running here, so a bug is something we can actually go and fix. Flag one in Discord and it's usually gone within 24 hours.

The crash in the engine

This server kept dying mid-game. It wasn't our mod. It was a fault in the game engine that only shows up on dedicated servers, and the plugin everyone runs couldn't catch it. So we built a patched version. That's what this server runs now.

The one that only hit long games

Some rounds the server would die, and only ever deep into a session. Something on the HUD was slowly using up a resource the engine never hands back, so every good run was quietly a countdown. We changed how those numbers draw and it stopped.

Up, but not really

A crash can leave everything still insisting the server is online while nobody can connect. Something checks properly now and brings it back on its own.

Getting in

How to connect

Setting Plutonium up the first time takes a few minutes. After that it's one console command to get in, and there's no password to type.

Own Black Ops 2

You need to legally own Call of Duty: Black Ops II on PC. Plutonium is a free client, but it uses your existing game files; it does not include the game.

Install Plutonium

Make a free account at forum.plutonium.pw, download the launcher from plutonium.pw, run it, and log in. In the launcher pick T6 (Black Ops II), click Setup, and point it at your Black Ops II game folder.

Launch the Zombies client

From the launcher, start the T6 Zombies client (not T6 Multiplayer) and hit Play. The game boots into the Plutonium Black Ops 2 zombies menu.

Connect

Press the console key ~ (the key under Esc), type connect 135.148.151.157:4976, and press Enter. If it says unknown command, try /connect 135.148.151.157:4976. The server is open, so no password is required. Plutonium's browser has no favorites, so the console is the dependable way in.

Type !commands in chat

Once you are in, type !commands in chat to see the shop, points bank, gifting, map vote, and the rest of our server mod.

Before you play

Server rules

A short set of rules keeps the server fair and friendly, and our staff play here and enforce them.

  1. No cheating, hacking, or exploiting.
  2. Be respectful. No harassment, and don't pressure or force other players to leave the game.
  3. No griefing the co-op: don't down teammates or end the game on purpose.
  4. Don't abuse the points bank or gifting (no exploits or scamming teammates).
  5. No mic spam, and listen to staff.
  6. Keep it fun for the whole lobby.
